Trackside at Jammer's Raceway. Built by racers for racers — and for anyone who ever cracked open a kit at the kitchen table and thought "yeah, I could do that."
The Idea Started with a Teenager Behind a Counter in Elmhurst.
Started by Rob Lennox. It was his first real job. Ever.
The place had a similar name and sat in a Chicago suburb called Elmhurst. That's where he learned the difference between a decent tire compound and a great one, how to talk somebody through their first pinion swap without making them feel dumb, and what "we've got you" actually means two hours before a heat.
Fast-forward a couple decades. Rob and Jason — co-owners of Jammer's Raceway — were sketching plans for a new R/C track in Indy. Somewhere in the middle of the whiteboard it hit them: a track without a real hobby shop attached is just half a promise. Racers should be able to walk fifteen feet from the drivers' stand to the parts wall.
So they built Al's Hobby Shop — trackside at Jammer's Raceway in the Motorsports Capital of the World: Indianapolis, Indiana. Named in honor of the shop where Rob got his start. Truly born out of racing — and built to recreate that classic hobby shop experience.
